Location and How to Get Here
Dar Carlos is located in the heart of Chefchaouen’s medina, in a quiet area yet very close to the main points of interest. Its location is perfect for exploring on foot the colorful alleyways, Uta el-Hammam Square, and the famous Ras El Ma waterfall.
If you arrive by car, the nearest supervised outdoor public parking is about 50 meters from the house. From there, you can walk through the narrow streets of the medina.
How to Get Here from the Airports
From Tetouan Airport (TTU)
- Direct taxi: fixed fare of approximately €40. It drops you off at your accommodation.
- Shared taxi: leave the terminal, take a local taxi to the station (€2), then a shared taxi to Chefchaouen (€4). It drops you off at the Chefchaouen bus station; from there, take a local taxi to your destination (~€1 per person). Total approximately €6–7 per person.
- Bus: same as the previous option but by bus instead of a shared taxi. Price is approximately €5 per person (arrives at the station; then take a local taxi).
From Tangier Airport (TNG)
- Direct taxi: approximately €70 to Chefchaouen.
- Bus or shared taxi: first go to Tangier bus station. From there, take a bus to Chefchaouen or a shared taxi (they usually stop in Tetouan, where you will need to take another bus or shared taxi). In Chefchaouen, take a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: when taking a taxi, tell the driver you are going to Sebanin Square or Sebanin Mosque.
Approximate prices; they may vary depending on time and season. For two or more people, a direct taxi is usually more cost-effective. Always confirm the fare in advance, but prices should be roughly as stated here.
